The Problem
Donor management can be a manual and time consuming process. This resource-constrained nonprofit needed to streamline donor organization and outreach into a centralized location.
The Stakes
As a funder collaborative that supports community-led organizing and collective change, Seeding Justice relies on donor management to support their operating budget.
The successful launch of this platform was therefore crucial for several reasons:
- More donors courted into the Seeding Justice ecosystem → increased revenue for operations
- The ability to spot trends and giving patterns → better-informed decision making around donor outreach
- Less time spent on donor management → more time for meaningful work
Why Datable
Our successful launch of Tiphub–a platform which streamlines and scales fundraising efforts–served as a quintessential example of Datable’s ability to build software solutions for the nonprofit sector from scratch.
Tiphub began as a linktree (social media landing page), and over two years, Datable revolutionized the platform into its current iteration–GoFundMe meets Eventbrite. Since launching the platform, Tiphub has helped raise over $3 million for organizations and individuals in need.
Seeding Justice wanted a software developer that understands the nonprofit sector and is passionate about the space. Datable’s prior experience with Tiphub exemplifies our commitment to helping nonprofits scale through innovation.
The Solution
Seeding Justice wanted to transition from manual processes around the aggregation and management of donor information into a more automated and scalable process.
With that information in hand, Datable was able to quickly pitch Seeding Justice on the technical requirements, and provide mockups with fast turnaround. Once the agreement was in place, our experienced, global team of developers began working 24/7 on the project (we are globally distributed, hence developers can literally work around the clock on a given project). Results: The platform is currently in its final stages of development. At a minimum, this will serve as a repository space, and has the potential to play a larger part of the foundation’s overall access to capital by streamlining donor and grantee relationship building and maintenance.
